I love to add a spark of romance to a non-traditional romantic holiday – St. Patrick’s Day. In fact, we should add a spark of romance to our relationships as often as we possibly can. It’s so fun and exciting to celebrate your love building on the theme that is traditional, like St. Patrick’s Day. In love, you don’t need any reason to let your partner know that you love them and you’re thinking about them. Check out some romantic ways to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with your spouse!

1. Plan a romantic picnic

If weather permits, go on a picnic in a local state park, look for a secluded spot and enjoy an afternoon of romance. Grab your favorite foods, a bottle of your favorite wine, green plastic utensils, green napkins, and green cups. Don’t forget about the blanket! Don’t like wine? Take a bottle of your favorite champagne and add some green food coloring to it.

2. Have Irish-inspired desserts

After dinner or picnic go with some Irish- inspired desserts, such as an apple pie served with sweet custard. You can also use green frosting for sugar cookies or cupcakes. For a larger romantic impact, you can feed each other desserts!

3. Write love notes

Spelling out your love in a color of the season is another romantic way to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with your spouse. Using a pen with green ink, write some love notes for your partner to discover.

4. Go to St. Patrick’s Day parade

Check out your local community listings for St. Patrick’s Day parade to attend together. St. Patrick’s Day is a time for fun and there may be activities, music, drinks, Irish food, games and crafts.

5. Wear sexy lingerie

On your way home from study or work, buy green or appropriately-themed for St. Patrick’s Day sexy underwear or lingerie. This is a great way to impress your spouse!

6. Make your own pot of gold

Take a small pot and fill it with some golden chocolate coins and make a trail leading to your bedroom for some chocolate delight. Make sure to set the mood in your bedroom beforehand.

7. Fill your day with lots o’kisses

Even if you are not Irish, enjoy the holiday and fill the day with lots o’kisses! Try a few different kisses. Spark the romance and have a lot of fun as you’ll get creative with it.

8. Celebrate the holiday at home

Dress something sexy and skimpy and cook the ultimate Irish food together, using such kitchen staples as potatoes, bacon and sausages. Cook up a corn beef brisket with cabbage, steamy Irish stew, or a lean lamb or tender chicken to serve together with mushrooms, potatoes, onion, carrots, and your favorite herbs. If you or your spouse a vegetarian, then just skip the meat.

9. Play hide and seek

For a game of hide and seek buy a bag of green marbles to hide. You can also use coins. So whoever finds the most coins or marbles will give the other person a massage. I bet you never thought that marbles or coins could be used in such a romantic, fun and sexy way!

Leisure time workout can keep depression at bay
The risk of depression can be halved by physical activity, but only if the sweat accumulates in leisure. The research team at King's College London have found that people who work regularly are much less likely to be depressed.

People who were not aggressive in free time were more than twice as likely to suffer from depressive symptoms than the most energetic, said the study published in the British Journal of Psychiatry. Their study showed that people who engage in regular exercise all the intensity of leisure are less likely to have symptoms of depression, said lead researcher Dr. Samuel Harvey.


He said the situation in which training takes place is important and that the social benefits associated with training, such as increasing the number of friends and social support are more critical to understanding how the exercise may be associated with mental health, more than any biological indicators of fitness.
